Kalamkari (卡拉姆卡里) 是一種非常古老的繪畫藝術

產於印度和伊朗的部分地區

通常會使用羅望子做成的筆和天然染料來完成

Kalam (卡拉姆)，意思是筆

Kari (卡里)，指的是手工藝；源於波斯語單詞

在Kalamkari藝術中繪製的圖案包括花朵、孔雀、Paisleys(佩斯利)

風格大多圍繞著寺廟和宗教信仰，以及印度史詩《摩訶婆羅多》中的神聖人物。

在古代，人們經常從一個村子到另一個村子講故事，

而當中有人就把故事畫在畫布、織物或捲軸上。

這樣的紡織品就成為了Kalamkari (卡拉姆卡里)

且流傳至今已有3000年的歷史！

現在科技業發達，手工被逐漸取代後Kalamkari也瀕臨滅絕。

幸虧近期因時尚界重新掀起的熱潮，它被視為地區遺產的象徵後

Kalamkari才得以繼續流傳，它也被認為是傳統和現代趨勢的新結合

設計師幫助工匠重新練習這項藝術後廣泛地運用於現代服裝。

甚至在時裝秀上也展示了Kalamkari風格的服飾，得到很大的反響。

Kalamkari不再僅限於繪畫和紗麗，甚至在家具上也能看到它的影子喔！
