【點屎成金！神奇的糞便造紙術】

一般人想到便便都避之唯恐不及，
但在印度卻能把它變成可以回收再利用的永續資源，
大大減少砍伐樹林對生態造成的破壞！

印度的阿薩姆邦出名的不只有紅茶葉，
在這裡也利用大象和犀牛的糞便作為施肥、村屋消毒或燃料
由於牠們都是草食性動物，且吃的草都沒有充分消化，
因此糞便在清潔、清洗和煮沸後得到的都是大量的植物纖維！
切碎的紡織廢料再做成漿與便便纖維充分混和、過濾、壓平、曬乾
加上阿薩姆邦盛產香蕉，在糞紙製作時更能派上用場。
只要把香蕉樹的長莖浸泡水中，
待其變色後曬乾就可以作成書籍封面。

如此一來，製造每 1200 公斤的糞紙，就能使 27 棵樹免於被砍伐！

犀牛糞紙可以通過與紡織紙漿混合後更小的深色纖維斑點辨別出來。
大象糞便的殘渣則更粘稠、更細微。

最後，當地人會再以竹條、樹葉或天然染色加以裝飾，
製成精美的提袋包裝形成特殊的紋理，非常適合作為送禮的好選擇！
由於過程都是手工完成，因此其中能看出的隨機性、
非標準化和自然的不完美與雜質都是能代表其美麗的標誌！
